The increases will continue to make county Prosecutor Peter Lucido the second highest countywide elected official behind County Executive Mark Hackel and tops among the countywide offiicials who head departments.
MISD Superintendent Michael DeVault applauded the allocation that will allow the district to increase offerings in its High Dosage Tutoring Program, which currently serves about 3,700 elementary students and will be serving more.
The funding will come at a good time because of a rise in juvenile petitions in the the county the past couple of years which Faulds attributed to youths suffering more mental health issues stemming from the heightened isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
