POLICE are hunting for a knife-wielding thug who robbed an Eastleigh petrol station and threatened staff. Officers investigating the incident have today release CCTV footage and images of the incident in an attempted to identify the offender. On Thursday, January 7, a man entered Texaco petrol station on Southampton Road, Eastleigh, at around 10.35pm. He approached the till, producing a knife and proceeded to threaten a member of staff. He demanded the cashier hand over all the money in the till or else he would come round there . The cashier handed a quantity of cash, with the man fleeing the scene towards the direction of Eastleigh Town Centre.
THE creation of two new parish councils in a Hampshire town has been approved. This comes after a survey by Eastleigh Borough Council over the last two months as part of a community governance review. The survey asked homeowners for their thoughts on creating a parish council for the unparished Eastleigh town centre area. The results showed that householders are in favour of the move, which is aimed at creating “more locally focused decision making”. Councillors approved the creation of the two new Parish councils at an administration committee meeting on Monday, after the subject was debated at a meeting of the Eastleigh Local Area Committee last week.

The incident took place at 10:35pm yesterday at the Texaco petrol station on Southampton Road, Eastleigh. A man is said to have entered the store and approached the till, producing a knife and proceeded to threaten a member of staff. The cashier handed over a quantity of cash, with the man fleeing the scene towards the direction of Eastleigh Town Centre. Police are now asking for witnesses or anyone with information relating to this incident to come forward.
