Cause of Easthampton house fire under investigation

EASTHAMPTON A house on Church Street remains uninhabitable after a fire last Friday.
The two-story, single-family residence at 40 Church St. caught fire at around noon, causing significant damage to the house. A cause has yet to be determined, according to the Easthampton Fire Department.
The blaze led to “the complete loss of the attached garage and the back of the house and heavy damage to the kitchen area on the first floor,” Easthampton Fire Capt. Kevin Benson said.
