There was severe congestion in and around many retail parks across the West of England this afternoon, as shoppers rushed to the out-of-town stores for last minute Christmas shopping.
The most severe incident happened on the main road into Bath city centre this afternoon - where First Bus said their buses were being delayed by up to 25 minutes just to get through the traffic congestion at the entrance to the city s main retail park.
