“I want it to be clear what it is we are voting on and not voting on. What is to come later, and this is what we’re doing now. What I view as coming up is an endorsement in concept, not in specific because that specific comes back both in the form of the development agreement and the land plans after,” said Planning Commissioner Rich Sonntag.
The discussion was a continuation of the first public hearing held in November, when residents raised concerns about the number of units, the project timeline, the impact to nearby communities as well as whether housing would be affordable.
