Fifteen to 25 cm of snow is forecast for Eastern Ontario Friday night and into Saturday creating “hazardous winter driving conditions,” Environment and Climate Change Canada warned.

The snowstorm is from a strong low-pressure system expected to track along the east coast of the United States to New England this weekend, the weather agency said in a snowfall warning.
“Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow,” it warned. “Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”
