Show Transcript so the storm system set to impact us later today is developing back towards the West. We are going to see the potential of a quick little burst of some light rain showers or even some snow showers in the mountains. Wouldn t be surprised for a few sleet pellets or even a few snowflakes to mix it in the upstate, but shouldn t be a big deal is this First little arm of moisture moves our way later today. This really ramps up tonight, beginning as early as 2 a.m. and then ramps up to about 5 a.m. That looks to be the peak of the storm for the mountains. And then it s gonna change to rain, even in the mountains where we re going to see some problems. There s a winter storm warning for Henderson County and then the higher elevations of Polk and Rutherford counties up toward the Hickory Nut

Show Transcript way have a pretty strong cold front that s coming through the area right now. It s gonna bring us some heavy rain at times across the mountains and the upstate, with a chance for a quick, wintry mix, mainly along north of I 85. This morning, I think most of us are going to see just rain. But don t be surprised if you don t hear a couple pellets or maybe a little freezing rain mixing in again early until our temperatures warm up a little bit. All of this rain will be tapering off by tonight in the mountains. We re seeing a wintry mix already this morning, basically north of I 40 more snow than anything, and just south of that line is seeing some sleet and freezing rain mixing in with rain. S
