Is teaching in your future? OHIO Eastern education programs to host virtual open house

(ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO) Ohio University Eastern Campus Early Childhood/Elementary and Middle Childhood education programs will host a virtual open house at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, for prospective students to learn about programs and the different educational pathways offered on our regional campus. Virtual visitors will also get a tour of the education room that is used for both programs, a tour of the Early Childhood and Elementary Education lab, and a have a chance to meet professors and current students.
The virtual event will be for high school juniors, seniors, transfer students, or those ready for a career in education. Everyone who attends is eligible to receive an application fee waiver to apply to Ohio University Eastern. When the COVID-19 pandemic began last March, Sarah Christ transitioned from her office to home to complete her seasonal work as a tax preparer. Having been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2016, Ms. Christ took extra precautions to safeguard herself from the respiratory disease.
With a new tax season approaching, and a return to work on the horizon, Ms. Christ began weighing the options of working from home again or traveling back to the office as a boost for her mental health.
