Coca-Cola Nigeria appoints new managing director
Mr Olajide replaces Yebeltal Getachew whose tenure ended December 31, 2020.

Coca-Cola has appointed Alfred Olajide as its new Vice President and Managing Director for its Nigeria operations.
The development followed a reorganisation of Coca-Cola’s global leadership structure.
A statement said on Sunday that Mr Olajide brings several years of experience to bear in his new role, nine of which were at the Coca-Cola Company.
He served in different capacities across the african continent, including Franchise Director for Cluster Markets in the Southern and Eastern Africa Region, Director of Revenue Growth Management in the East and Central Africa Region, and Strategy Head for Nigeria Franchise.

The East African Chiefs of Defence are meeting in Kigali under the auspices of the 28
th Ordinary Session of the Eastern Africa Standby Force with the aim of tackling the rising threat of Terrorism in the region.
The five-day meeting convened at the Radison Blu Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda has drawn top leadership from security institutions and agencies within the East African region.
This meeting was preceded by the EASF Experts Working Group- it was officially opened by the Guest of Honour, Lt. Gen. Jean Jacques Mupenzi, the Army Chief of Staff from the Rwanda Defence Force.

Peace and Security leaders in the Eastern Africa Region will convene in Rwanda, Kigali from 14th to 18th December 2020, to participate in the 28th Ordinary Policy Organs Meetings that include Council of Ministers of Defence and Security, meeting of the Eastern Africa Chiefs of Defence and Security and Experts Working Group meeting.
The aim of the above mentioned five-day meetings is to draft a Concept on Countering Asymmetric Threats which gained traction in the aftermath of 9/11, a global phenomenon that poses a regional and international security threat.
As a regional organisation whose mandate is to enhance peace and security in the Eastern Africa region, the Eastern Africa Standby Force is one of the five regional multidimensional forces of the African Standby Force (ASF) consisting of Military, Police and Civilian components, which among other things would deal with asymmetric threats. These components stay on standby for rapid de
