JLD Academy’s Syndel Samaroo extended his dominance of the local junior circuit when he copped keirin gold on day one of the National Junior Cycling Championships at the National Cycling Centre in Balmain, Couva, on Friday night. Samaroo did well to stave off a persistent field of riders and was crowned national junior keirin champion
The competition was held over three days, from April 7-9, with the first two days featuring International Cycling Union (UCI) Class II events at the newly refurbished Skinner Park in San Fernando, and the UCI Class I racing on the final day at the National Cycling Centre in Couva.
ELITE cyclist Zion Pulido leads a 16-member TT cycling team for the Easter International Grand Prix which rides off at Skinner Park in San Fernando, from April 7-8, and the National Cycling Centre in Couva, on April 9.
