TRACKING THE COVID-19 VACCINE Share Updated: 7:59 PM EDT May 13, 2021 Authorities in Connecticut are hoping to find the owner of a Massachusetts dog found 70 miles from where identification says it s from. The East Windsor Police Department posted two pictures of the dog, which appeared healthy, on their social media page Thursday afternoon. Police said the dog had a chip in it that identified its owner as a man from Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Police said they weren t immediately able to get in contact with the dog s owner. It wasn t immediately clear how the dog from western Massachusetts ended up in the Connecticut town south of Springfield. Authorities asked anyone who might have contact information for the owner to reach out to the East Windsor
Missing Pittsfield Dog Found Over 70 Miles from Home
A stray dog microchipped to a Pittsfield, Massachusetts address was found over 70 miles from his home in East Windsor, Connecticut.
Both local Pittsfield Police and the East Windsor Department say the dog’s microchip information indicated the pet’s owner lives in Pittsfield. But while police have the man’s name, but they haven’t been able to reach him. The department asked anyone who might have information to call East Windsor Animal Control at 860-292-1962 or the Pittsfield Police at 413-448-9700.
