GREEN RIVER As the Monroe and East Teton Water Project continues toward completion some streets will need to be temporarily closed.
On Monday, May 10, East Teton Boulevard will be closed on to allow a water line to be installed across the street. The water line work will cross East Teton at Monroe starting Monday morning, causing contractor Lewis and Lewis to close East Teton, which is a major commuter access to both the South and North side of the City. Closure is expected around 8:30 am Monday, however reopening will be determined at a later date.
Motorists will be detoured onto Logan Street on the north side and Bridger Drive on the south side.
GREEN RIVER The Green River City awarded a bid to a Rock Springs company at their February 16 Council meeting after the City received seven bids.
Lewis and Lewis won the bid by $26 over Jackman Construction. The bid, $404,880, is for a water line project on Monroe and East Teton Blvd.
The Monroe & East Teton Water Project is anticipated to commence construction in March of 2021. Construction is expected to be completed near the end of April.

The project consists of an extension of the water system to increase available flows and allow for future expansion/uses, along with the installation of storm catch basins to aid in capturing runoff.
GREEN RIVER The Green River City Council will consider awarding a water project on Monroe Avenue and East Teton Boulevard.
The meeting will start at 7 pm, Tuesday, February 16. The meeting will be through Zoom and can be viewed by the public on the City’s YouTube page.
The Council will consider awarding the project to Lewis & Lewis, Inc. in the amount of $404,880. Seven bids in total were received for the project.
