A prescribed burn in Iosco County has now grown to more than 6,000 acres and been declared a wildfire.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, the prescribed woodland fire has grown out of control and forced some residents to evacuate their homes.
Structure protection is ongoing with the U.S. Forest Service and Tawas City Fire Department.
