A motorcyclist died when his vehicle crashed on a ramp from Route 120 to Route 3 in East Rutherford on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 5 p.m. where they discovered the body of the 25-year-old driver from West New York near his motorcycl, said Deputy Chief Phillip Taormina of the East Rutherford Police Department
Taormina confirmed the driver was pronounced dead at the scene but had no further details on his identity nor the cause of the crash.
At 5:48 p.m., the state Transportation Department issued an alert of the crash, saying all southbound lanes of Route 120 were closed. But by 9:10 p.m., the road and ramp had reopened, Taormina said.
