A pop-up restaurant event in Somerset may not be able to go ahead - because it could end up being too noisy.
POP-UP PLAN: For Pennard Hill Farm, in East Pennard. PICTURE: Google Street View A POP-UP restaurant event on a Somerset boutique camping venue may not be able to go ahead – because it could end up being too noisy. Pippa Chambers runs Pennard Hill Farm, near Shepton Mallet, which offers boutique camping, weddings and holiday cottages within easy reach of the Glastonbury Festival site. Ms Chambers has applied to run a pop-up restaurant and bar for up to 150 people over the last weekend in June, staged across two of her family’s fields. But Mendip District Council will now have the final say at a public hearing after a formal objection was lodged concerning noise levels at the site.
