Osceola County hopes to receive $164 million in federal funding to mitigate future flooding after first steps were approved through the National Defense Authorization Act at the request of U.S. Rep. Darren Soto.
SFWMD Executive Director Drew Bartlett says they’re working with Osceola County to ease the flooding in central Florida by moving water down through the upper Kissimmee Chain of Lakes.
