As of this morning, money contributed to the Salvation Army’s fund for Christmas baskets and donations to the needy is almost to the $200 mark. Forty-five or more Sheridan families will receive Christmas dinners and gifts this year.
The committee handling plans for the celebration that will attend the illumination of a tree on East Grinnell street on Christmas Eve has issued a request for additional funds for the event.
Thomas Thain of Buffalo is visiting in Sheridan today.
