1 4 lakh SHGs receive ₹70 46 crore zero interest loan

Venu Gopala Krishna on Friday claimed that ₹70.46 crore of loans have been deposited into the accounts of 1.40 lakh Self-Help Groups under the ‘Sunna Vaddi’ scheme in East Godavari district. An amount of ₹52.35 crore has been deposited into the accounts of the 87,357 SHGs in rural East Godavari district. Attending the Sunna Vaddi scheme disbursement programme through video-conference at the Collectorate here, Mr. Venu Gopala Krishna said that the State government was committed to extending financial aid to SHGs despite financial challenges. “Timely disbursement of the loans will encourage SHG members to find an assured livelihood through a wise investment,” said Mr. Venu Gopala Krishna. East Godavari Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy and other officials were present.

A dedicated team of revenue, health and municipal staff will run it round-the clock. The doctors and district officials can refer COVID-19 patients to the facility,” Mr. Bharat told the media, adding that the diet prescribed by the doctors would provided to the patients.

In an official release, East Godavari Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy said that the land would be gathered under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with the consent of the private landowners. The highest of 992 acres of land would be required within a three km radius from the Rajamahendravaram city. In Kakinada smart city, the government is preparing to gather 887 acres of land.

Muralidhar Reddy on Monday said that ₹66.28 crore was deposited into the accounts of women whose children were pursuing higher studies as part of fee reimbursement under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme in East Godavari district. Over one lakh students pursuing higher studies have benefited from the scheme that reimbursed their fee for the academic year 2020-21 in the district. According to officials, 3,295 students are tribals and 20,410 students belong to the Scheduled Castes who get the fee reimbursement on Monday. Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha, Kakinada city MLA D. Chandrasekhar Reddy and district officials were present at the video conference.
