George s five favourite Inverclyde Shed pictures

FORMALLY constituted in 2018, a life-saving initiative is already making major inroads in alleviating loneliness in the community. In the short time it has been up and running, the Inverclyde Shed has picked up a major award and is really making a difference, even in these trying times. The following five shots give an account of the progress the Shed has made so far and we at the Telegraph look forward to bringing readers more happy news of their achievements to come. Inverclyde Shed chairperson Bruce Newlands is seen here with a basket of produce, grown at their Shore Street community garden in Gourock. A plentiful supply of vegetables and salad was made available to residents of nearby Riverside Gardens.

Greenock charity shocked by callous crooks | Greenock Telegraph

A GREENOCK charity targeted by would-be thieves is today counting the cost of an attempted smash and grab of a van crucial to its operations. Criminals vandalised Ocean Youth Trust Scotland s only vehicle and tried to hotwire it during a raid which could cost the already Covid-hit organisation more than £500. Stunned charity manager Hazel Wiseman told the Telegraph how the badly damaged Ford Transit was an essential part of OYT Scotland s activities. Hazel said: We were really shocked to find that an attempt had been made to steal the Trust s van. Not only is it clearly a charity-owned vehicle by the visible branding, but it s the only vehicle the Trust owns and is absolutely crucial for our day-to-day operations.
