Elsewhere it will be cooler but still well above normal. Temperatures are expected Monday and Tuesday in the 70s and 80s around the shoreline of San Francisco Bay, and up to the mid-70s along the Sonoma and Marin coasts, San Mateo Coast and Monterey Bay Shoreline.
Red Flag Warning for North and East Bay Hills Extended to Tuesday Night
Initially expected to end Monday at 6 p.m., the National Weather Service (NWS) has extended its Red Flag Warning for parts of the Bay Area another 24 hours.
The Bay Area s first Red Flag Warning leading up to this year’s fire season was issued last week for the North Bay and parts of the East Bay. That warning began Friday, May 7, at 11 p.m. with the expectation it would end Monday evening, should fire conditions which included ongoing low humidity levels and hurricane-like winds improve enough by then.

A wind advisory is in effect for the North Bay Mountains. The National Weather service issued the advisory yesterday and it will be in effect until 10pm tonight
Good news, though! No heightened fire threat with this wind, said ABC7 News Meteorologist Mike Nicco.
In the East Bay Valleys, Nicco is focusing on a 12 hour period where winds will be gusting up to 40 to 60 miles per hour. As a result a Wind Advisory will be in effect Wednesday from 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
An Wind Advisory will also be in effect in our higher elevations. It goes from Wednesday 10 a.m. through Thursday 4 a.m. in the North Bay Mountains, East Bay Hills, Diablo Range Hills and Mountains and Santa Cruz Mountains. Be careful out there!, said Nicco. We will have a north wind around 15 to 30 miles per hour, but the gusts of 40 to 60 that s what could cause potential problems.
