Carnock bank fraud investigator caught drink-driving when almost four times over limit

Beverley Allison, 55, of Glenfield, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. She admitted that on February 7, on the A907 at Rumblingwell, Dunfermline, she drove a car having consumed excess alcohol. Her reading was 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes. Depute fiscal Laura McManus said police had been called to the area of the Scotmid store in East Baldridge Drive about a possible drink-driving. They saw her driving, followed her and stopped her. Defence solicitor Elaine Buist said her client worked as a bank fraud investigator. She added: “She has described her actions as sheer stupidity.”
