A Sunday afternoon fire in Savannah destroyed a home and left six people displaced. The Savannah Fire Department is now investigating to figure out what sparked the flames.
you ve got 5 feet of water in your basement, i guess many of your neighbors evacuated. why did you decide to stay? i had 5 feet. we finally got it all pumped out. my biggest problem was with raw sewage from the sewer lines. i went downstairs at 2:00 in the morning and i m seeing raw suage coming out of the toilet downstairs, 2-foot high in the air. i mean, just blowing it out. my neighbor to the south of me, his basement, was completely full, clear up to his floor joists and the water was coming through the floor jaifts joists. down to this area on east 35th street, we just got hit so hard. this is the worst i ve ever seen it. i ve lived in this house 32 years, an i ve never seen it as bad as what it has been here. jon: what are you going to have to do? i mean, cleaning something up like that, that is going to take some super industrial right now, i got a roll
