An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck parts of Assam on Wednesday evening. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck the state at 5.54 PM.
The epicentre of the quake was 17 kilometres West-Northwest of Tezpur. The depth of the earthquake was 10 kiometres.
