Patna: An earthquake of magnitude 3.5, occurred 20 km north-west of Nalanda, Bihar at 9.23 pm on Monday, the National Center for Seismology said. There were no immediate reports of casualty or damage to property. According to local media reports, mild tremours were felt in the state capital and surrounding areas and people were seen rushing out of their houses.
According to accounts of people who rushed out of their houses, the tremours lasted for about three seconds. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Tejashwi Yadav was among those who took to Twitter and wished for everyone s safety .
