Earth s Rotation Day  |  Photo Credit: Representative Image The rotation of the earth is a phenomenon we all know about. It takes place when our planet rotates on a vertical axis around the sun. This takes place every 24 hours.  We all learnt about this in our Geography and science classes back in school. However, there is a day which is dedicated to the same. January 8 is celebrated as Earth Rotation Day to celebrate the first demonstration that was done to showcase it many years ago.
