Short-Term Underway At Cleveland State, Second Launch Mid-March Friday, January 29, 2021
Cleveland State Community College recruiters are sharing information on offerings such at Short-Term classes as they reach out to all future students in 2021. Recruiter Reily Kennedy is part of the team which speaks with high school students across the college s five-county service area throughout the year. The latest educational feature available to students at Cleveland State Community College is now underway. The brand new Short-Term option is now available this semester both online and on-campus. The first Short-Term wraps up March 6. However, a new one begins March 15. Short-Term courses last seven weeks, instead of the standard 15-week semester Cleveland State offers throughout the year. Course offerings available in the new abbreviated semester include: Computer Applications, Early World History, English Composition II: Literature, First Year Seminar, Fundamentals

The Tennessee Board of Regents institution has launched short-term courses beginning Spring 2021.
âThis is a strategic initiative that will allow more students, of all ages, to take more classes in a shorter period of time,â said Dr. Bill Seymour, president of Cleveland State Community College. âWeâve had a goal to grow short-term classes at Cleveland State. In cooperation with Academic Affairs, as well as the faculty and staff of the college, weâve made that happen for 2021. This is another step to make going to college easier and more convenient. They are shorter classes a student can take for full college credit.â
