In a shocking style reversal, the usually front-ending Tequila Talkin rallied from last to capture Wednesday’s (Nov. 22) $21,200 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Millionaire Marloe Hanover was all out to do it, but she held off the late charge of Blue Ivy to capture Thursday’s $21,200 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Tequila Talkin, the apparent place finisher, was awarded the victory when the horse that crossed the wire first, Swan Legacy, was disqualified for a pylon violation. It all happened in Wednesday’s $19,200 Open Handicap the track’s top trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Hammered down to 1-5, Stay Close looked every bit the heavy favourite, leading every step in Wednesday’s (Oct. 25) feature at The Meadows, a $15,900 Conditioned Trot.
It appeared that Dover Glide wouldn't be rewarded for his grueling trip with a place finish in the top class on Thursday, Oct. 26 at The Meadows. But when the leader broke stride near the wire, Dover Glide kept right on gliding.
