To mark the end of Education Week, three more schools have been announced as part of the Ambassador Schools program, a league of the best schools in NSW.
The program, which is unique in Australia, uses the School Success Model to identify schools achieving academic performance above and beyond similar schools.
Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning Sarah Mitchell said the Ambassador Schools had the X-factor, and the principal, teachers, staff and school community were working together to achieve incredible results.
Systems Restored After NSW Cyber Attack
New South Wales (NSW) Department of Education IT systems are coming back online two days after they were crippled by a cyber attack as teachers in the Australian state prepared for online classes amid the Greater Sydney lockdown.
A number of internal systems were deactivated late on Wednesday to protect student and staff data after officials detected the attack.
It came just hours after NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced schools in Greater Sydney would move to online learning for the first week of Term 3, which starts on Tuesday.
Teachers will be relieved to hear @NSWEducation systems are coming back online following a cyber-attack. A huge thank you to the teams who worked around the clock for this result.

Students at regional schools will have more choice in subjects, high performing teachers will be encouraged to teach in the country and a dedicated education team will be based in the bush to drive better results.
A new regional education plan will be a key element of the NSW government’s revised 20-year economic strategy as it rebuilds after drought, bushfires, floods and COVID-19.
Students will have access to a greater range of subjects and resources.
