South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner appoints deputy SOUTH Wales Police and Crime Commissioner, Alun Michael, has re-appointed Emma Wools to serve as his deputy for the next three years. Emma, who has served as deputy to the Police and Crime Commissioner since 2016, was re-appointed following endorsement by the South Wales Police and Crime Panel at their meeting in Merthyr Tydfil on Tuesday, June 1 2021. She is currently the executive lead for the Police and Crime Commissioner’s team for the areas of vulnerability and violence against women and girls, as well as playing a key national role in reducing female offending and equality and diversity.
