Chepstow man jailed for kicking dog to death back in prison

Matthew Benjamin A MAN jailed for kicking his pet dog to death is back behind bars after he was sent to prison for dangerous driving. Matthew Benjamin wrote his victim’s Land Rover off after he followed him for around 14 miles through Monmouthshire in his Ford Transit van. The 38-year-old defendant’s vehicle hit the 4x4 as he overtook it in the Chepstow area between Shirenewton and Crick, prosecutor Tom Roberts said. The complainant’s Land Rover crashed after being forced on to shallow banking during the terrifying incident on November 11, 2020, Cardiff Crown Court heard. MORE NEWS

KYLE DIXON, 21, of Broadwood Close, Ringland, Newport, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to committing a Communications Act offence. ADAM SLOWIK, 33, of Barrack Hill, Newport, was banned from driving for 23 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was ordered to pay £635 in a fine, costs and a surcharge. BENJAMIN OSBORNE, 28, of Bronmynydd, Abertridwr, Caerphilly, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to drug driving with cannabis derivative delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood.
