At the time of publication,Public Health has reported the death of two Eaglestone residents due to complications from COVID-19. An additional 26 residents and four staff at the care home have tested positive for the virus. Of the residents who tested positive, the majority remain in the lodge and are stable, some with mild symptoms and some are asymptomatic. Public Health has confirmed that 10 residents have been declared recovered. Representatives for Public Health instructed Eaglestone staff with regard to isolation protocols for residents, appropriate use of personal protective equipment, disinfecting protocols for high touch surface areas, and appropriate cleaning procedures.
