Riverside Military Academy’s cadet-produced Eagle News Network (ENN) earned national recognition in the Student Television Network’s (STN) Virtual Convention on Saturday, Feb. 20.
The ENN team is made up of 21 RMA cadets who manage the Academy’s cadet-produced news show using industry-standard equipment and journalism practices. ENN submitted eight entries into the competition and received two awards: Evan Dewey, Brayden Fisch, Connor Mallas and Andrey Ponko earned third place for their pet adoption public service announcement, and Will Farris, Evan Hughes, Chris Jones and Alex Pombo earned second place for their GoPro commercial.
Riverside’s team competed with nearly 100 high school teams across the nation and was one of only three schools in Georgia to be recognized, in addition to White County High School in Cleveland and Centennial High School in Roswell.
