The operation said it would partner with the local Humane Society for pet adoption and surrender services. Batson’s Corner/Eagle Pharmacy was named Eagle Chamber of Commerce business of the year. Seven Hermits Brewing announced plans to relocate to a larger Eagle Ranch location. 10 years ago Eagle Valley High School students presented the musical “Hairspray.” Eagle native son Brad Gamble broke the NCAA Division II heptathlon record. Gamble was a student/athlete at Chadron State College, attending for his final year of track and field eligibility.

Letter: A big year for Eagle County Animal Services

Eagle County Animal Services is responsible for operating the Eagle County Animal Shelter and for providing animal control services for unincorporated Eagle County and the Towns of Eagle, Gypsum, Minturn, Red Cliff and Vail (by contract). The Eagle County Animal Services Advisory Committee was created in 2016 to provide community input to the Animal Services team on behalf of the residents of Eagle County. The members of the Eagle County Animal Services Advisory Committee would like to share the following statistics that highlight just a few of the accomplishments of our amazing Animal Services team for 2020: 18% reduction in stray animal intakes

A standing-room-only crowd assembled at Eagle Town Hall to support Eagle Town Manager Jon Stavney. Stavney officially resigned his post in a negotiated settlement with the town. Eagle native son Dale Starr coached the Robert Morris University women’s volleyball tea to the NEC championship. 10 years ago Week of Dec. 16, 2010 Fire gutted the Mountain Toppers building in Dotsero. The cause of the blaze was accidental and the structure was deemed a total loss.
