A TOTAL 179 people received coronavirus vaccinations at a pop up clinic at Broughton Road Community Centre in Skipton today. The clinic was the result of a collaboration between Fisher Medical Centre and Dyneley House Surgery, both based in Skipton. Those being vaccinated were the over 50s and those with underlying health conditions, frontline health workers and people with caring responsibilities; they included both first and second vaccines. Tahir Hussain, community volunteer who helped organise the clinic, said: “We were delighted to help run a clinic locally as we were aware of some community members who hadn’t had their vaccination or were unsure. The clinic gave us a chance to have those conversations and encourage uptake and the results today with over 150 people vaccinated point to the success of this work.”
