OpenSwarm is a new EU project coordinated by Inria, the aim of which is to develop technology for the Internet of Things (IoT), with applications in major fields such as occupational safety, environmental protection and mobility. We caught up with Thomas Watteyne, a researcher in embedded systems at the Inria Paris centre and coordinator of OpenSwarm, to discuss the scientific challenges involved.
