The Jefferson City Jays continued their slow start to the season Tuesday, dropping their Central Missouri Activities Conference opener to the Rock Bridge Bruins 10-0 in five innings at Vivion Field. The Jays ran into a dominant left-hander on the mound Tuesday, as Payton Messer threw all five innings while only allowing one hit and three walks in the shutout effort for the Bruins.
