(Seminoles.com) – In just his second year, Florida State Men’s Golfer Freddie Kjettrup achieved a feat that no other Seminole has accomplished as FSU finished in second place at 20-under (274-285-273) in Tuesday’s final round at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational held at Floridian Golf Club. The native of Aabybro, Denmark, recorded a final-round 64 and shot 13-under (64-72-64) en route to his runner-up finish. Kjettrup becomes the first Seminole to shoot three rounds at 64 or lower in a career, hitting the mark in just his 17th tournament played.

Colby Patton shot a two-under-par 69 on Tuesday and Jacob Bridgeman finished third overall with an 11-under-par score for the 54 holes, leading Clemson to a 10th place finish at the 15-team Valspar Collegiate at The Floridian in Palm City, Fla.Defending National Champion Pepperdine won the tournament in dominating fashion with a team score of 34-under-par 818 for two-day event that included eight teams with a top 25 ranking by at least one service, including four top 10 teams.
