Nationally, it seems like a lot of folks don’t give Derek Carr the credit he deserves.
Often, his accomplishments fly under the radar and there is a faction that wants the Las Vegas Raiders to try to replace Carr every offseason.
Yet, this stat from CBS should give us all some perspective regarding Carr’s achievements.
Along with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Carr has thrown for at least 4,000 yards and thrown less than 10 interceptions in each of the past three seasons. No other NFL quarterback can claim that achievement.
That’s pretty impressive!

Ray Prisby was one of just three super fans, out of 27,000, who got a knock on the door from Pro Football Hall of Fame President David Baker at his Tampa hotel informing him of the news.
Ray Prisby is a Hall of Fanner.
The Youngstown man and loyal Cleveland Browns supporter found out Friday he will be inducted into the Ford Hall of Fans at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
He said being told he was an inductee was every bit as thrilling as he imagined it would be.
“I’ve been riding on a rollercoaster ever since,” Prisby said about an hour after getting the news.
Prisby already felt like a winner before Friday. Cleveland Browns legend Jim Brown came to Prisby’s East Side home when he found out he was one of six nominees. Learning on Tuesday he was one of the three finalists meant Prisby got a trip to Tampa, Fla., to attend Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
UPDATE: HE MADE IT. Congrats, Wayne.
This has been a tough year for all sports fans, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame is still continuing its great tradition of honoring hardcore fans throughout the league by electing a 2021 class to its Ford Hall of Fans.
There is a Las Vegas Raiders’ flavor to the final list. You may not always know the name Wayne Mabry but you surely know who the “The Violator” is and he’s one of the finalists for the Ford Hall of Fans. The class will be announced soon.
In addition to Mabry, the other two finalists are Arizona Cardinals fan Kristi Brown and Cleveland Browns fan Ray Prisby.
