Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a white man who confronted them with two large knives at a home where domestic violence had been reported, police said Thursday.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Louisiana State Police are investigating a deputy-involved shooting in Washington Parish that left a suspect dead.
Late Wednesday evening, Washington Parish Deputies were called to a home on Albert Magee Road in Mount Hermon for a domestic violence incident. When they arrived at the home, 28-year-old Dustin A. Crain confronted deputies while armed with two large knives.
During the confrontation, a deputy fired his gun at Caine striking him. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington Parish Coroner’s Office.
MOUNT HERMON - Louisiana State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Washington Parish that happened Wednesday night.
The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office requested LSP to investigate an officer-involved shooting incident that happened in Mount Hermon around 10 p.m.
The incident resulted in the death of 28-year-old Dustin A. Crain of Mount Hermon.
During an investigation officials discovered that Washington Parish deputies responded to a residence in Mount Hermon on Albert Magee Road in regards to a domestic violence incident.
When deputies arrived on scene Crain armed himself with two large knives and confronted the responding deputies. During this time a deputy fired his duty weapon striking Crain.

NEW ORLEANS Sheriff s deputies responding to a domestic violence call shot and killed a man Wednesday night in Washington Parish. The Louisiana State Police is investigating the shooting at the sheriff s office s request, a release said.
Sharing little information, an LSP release said Dustin A. Crain, 28, had armed himself with two large knives before confronting deputies when they got to a Mount Hermon home on Albert Magee Road late Wednesday night.
State Police said Cain had knives in his hands and was confronting deputies when one of them opened fire, shooting and killing Cain.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m.
