The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Butler man following the investigation of a vehicle and traffic complaint in the town of Wolcott.
Deputies located Dustin Thomas, 25, who was operating his vehicle on State Rt. 370. However, the vehicle was stopped in the eastbound lane while it appeared to be attempting a left-turn onto Hogback Rd.
Thomas was discovered to be asleep at the wheel with his eyes shut, which prompted a roadside investigation.

The investigation led investigators to residences and other commercial locations in Deseronto, Napanee, Kingston and the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands (Lansdowne).
Cigna eliminates prior authorization requirements for some CT exams Prior authorization is also eliminated for 3D image post-processing, including the evaluation of cardiac structure and function.

On Monday, commercial insurer Cigna said it is no longer requiring prior authorization for certain CT exams, including those involving the heart, coronary arteries and bypass grafts with contrast.
Prior authorization is also eliminated for 3D image post-processing, including the evaluation of cardiac structure and function, as well as venous structures, if performed.
Cigna is also removing the requirement for fractional flow reserve-CT. Noninvasive fractional flow reserve derived from coronary CT angiography is increasingly used in patients with coronary artery disease as a gatekeeper to the catheterization lab.

Cigna will no longer require prior authorization for some CT scans of the heart, a move that providers said will relieve administrative burdens among physicians and result in better outcomes for patients.
On Feb. 1, Cigna will end prior authorizations for CT angiogram of the heart, coronary arteries and bypass grafts with contrast material. This includes 3D image post-processing. Cigna also removed prior consent for fractional flow reserve-computed tomography. Patients must have stable chest pain and an intermediate risk of coronary artery disease for coverage under the policy.
Dr. Julie Kessel, medical officer of coverage policy at Cigna, said the policy change reflects the insurer s regular process of examining its prior authorization requests and will result in better health outcomes for Cigna members.
