ASHLAND After almost 20 years of service, Dr. James Wolfe is stepping down from the Ashland City Board of Education due to personal reasons.
His seat will be open June 14.
This seat will technically be considered incumbent as they will need to run in the November election. He wanted to retire from Board earlier, but Mike Heimann had to retire for health reasons, Board President Zack Truax said. He wanted to retire again, but Dustin Kruty resigned. We had to replace them and get the new Board members up to speed. Being the professional [Wolfe] is, he didn’t want to leave us high and dry. Now, we re in a good spot to find a replacement.
