The Oklahoma City Police Department is reviewing a May incident that began with a report of a stolen vehicle and ended with a fatal crash that killed a pregnant mother.
Star Shells, 28, was driving through the intersection of Northeast 16th Street and Martin Luther King Ave. on May 24 when a stolen vehicle driven by Wacey Mikles struck her vehicle, killing her.
Shells was six-months pregnant, according to Attorney Cameron Spradling, who requested the body camera video on behalf of the father of the unborn child.
Sergeants Dustin Fulton and Greg Bell of the OCPD were chasing Mikles, who was driving a 2021 Ford F-350 that was reported stolen that morning.
