Kyle Grosshanten each lock up $55,000, while poker pro
Ian Steinman took top honors and $65,000 in prize money. Originally, first place was to receive $100,000 while second and third place would have received $50,000 and $25,000 respectively.

McKeehen is quiet on the felt, so he doesn’t get the recognition he probably deserves. And some poker fans consider him rude and snobby and are put off by his refusal to be considered a poker ambassador. But he’s one of the best in the game and is arguably the most talented world champ this century.
Iowan Dustin Dirksen Leads WPT Venetian After Day 1

Dustin Dirksen, who hails from the great state of Iowa, bagged the biggest stack on Day 1 at the $5,000 buy-in WPT Venetian in Las Vegas. The biggest event in Nevada since COVID-19 attracted a whopping 937 entries, with 224 of them advancing to Day 2.

Only about half of the remaining players will get paid as it pays the top 118. Many of the games best players came out to the poker capital of the world for this event.
