It’s probably no surprise that Onondaga County’s two elections commissioners have different opinions about the new state redistricting maps approved Wednesday by lawmakers. The governor is expected to sign them into law by week’s end.
New measures are rolling out across the state to expand absentee voting. New York Republicans say, without a history of examples, that the measures could lead to voter fraud.
The first bill allows voters to submit online requests for absentee ballots, while the second allows boards of elections to open absentee ballots prior to election day.
