ELMHURST, IL In the last few days, Elmhurst police have handled cases involving a knife-wielding driver, a bicycle theft, a dog bite, missing medication, fraud, DUIs and stolen property. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Knife-wielding driver
A bicyclist told police that he was riding on Spring Road when a man honked at him and displayed a knife about 4 p.m. Thursday. The driver said he honked his horn at the bicyclist, who he said was weaving in the roadway. He alleged the bicyclist reached into his car, so the driver took out a folding knife and said he was calling the police. Neither person wished to file complaints.
