Flashing lights from a bus can be seen early in the morning as a bus driver picks up children to go to school or they can be seen late at night transporting community members around Salina on the CityGo bus.
OCCK Transportation is encouraging community members to celebrate “Transit Driver Appreciation Day” on Thursday, March 18. OCCK transportation currently has 46 drivers and is looking to hire more.
It was almost a year ago this month that Durham School bus drivers gathered in 17 buses and a caravan to collect riders around Salina one last time. Schools did not resume in-person learning after spring break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
