Lee R. Kesselman is retiring as the director of the DuPage Chorale and director of choral activities at the College of DuPage after 41 years. The Glen Ellyn resident finishes his tenure with two May concerts, including the world-premiere of his choral work called "Remember Us," which draws on words from unheard voices of American past and present.
This spring, Lee Kesselman, who has been conducting the DuPage Chorale and DuPage Chorale Orchestra since 1981, will be stepping down from the podium. His final concert on May 1 will feature the premiere of his work "Remember US." New members are welcome at rehearsals starting Jan. 24.
The DuPage Chorale, under the direction of Lee R. Kesselman, with the DuPage Chorale Orchestra, returns to live concert performances with "From the Heart," on Sunday, Dec. 5, at the McAninch Arts Center s stage.
On Wednesday, Oct. 13, the McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn will host a night of music featuring a wide range of works by College of DuPage s student ensemble groups.
