companies are doing what the chinese government wants them to do and in america it s obviously a little different. you ve got some of the leading technology companies in the world, take google for example, saying we re not going to work with the pentagon. we don t want to work with this u.s. government we re pulling out of this contract to work with the pentagon and then you look at china and they actually are working in china. i want you to listen to what the acting defense secretary as well as the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, dunford and sha nahan said this week about google working in china. listen to this. you re telling me that google, an american company, supposedly, is refusing to work with the department of defense, but is doing work with china, in china, in a way that at least indirect ly benefits the chinese government, is that correct? i haven t heard the word refuse, but there s a lack of willingness. the work that google is doing in china is indirectly benefiti
when general dunford talked about directly helping china s military. i ll certainly be looking into that and asking for a briefing from the joint chiefs and we ll also be asking google to find out exactly what they are doing. they re an american company and they have to be loyal to america and to our values. i think the general was absolutely correct in the way he laid that out. maria: that s just incredible so you re going to hope to do hearings on this then? well i m certainly going to be sending oversight letters and asking for briefings. maria: senator we ve got to go but real quick is usmca going to get ratified? a lot of dems come on and say they won t vote for it in its current form. i mean, i hope so. we need that trade deal. it s good for all three countries. maria: but you ll vote for it? we re trying to press the administration to ratify it when we have republicans in the house it s going to be heavy lift i fear. maria: senator good to have you on the program thanks so
congress refused to provide in a fake emergency. you know, very revealingly yesterday, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, general dunford came forth and he said we have a security challenge at the border, not an emergency. he used the word challenge. and he said, there is no military threat. so they are withdrawing 40% of the troops. the so-called emergency is a fake one and i think my colleagues will begin to understand that. and we have a real chance of overriding that veto. senator richard blumenthal, thank you very much forever beifor being on with your positions. thank you. the killer in new zealand called a symbol of white supremacy. what is it that they hear from the president that causes them to think this way? that s next. discover. hi, what s this social security alert? it s a free alert if we find your social security number on the dark web. good, cuz i m a little worried about my information getting out. oh, why s that?
european allies to send military forces to syria passing the target set for friday. where are we? well i think the journal may be a little bit behind the curve on that i can tell you i ve spoken to my british and french counterparts this past week and they are looking to pry and participant, we haven t formalized it yet a lot of work remains to be done chairman of the joint chiefs of staff joey d unford and his colleagues at the pentagon have been moving heaven and earth to try and get this accomplished we re still optimistic we can do it but it s still moving in the right direction. we think it s very important that we get this right. maria: well, the president would like our allies to pay up, in terms of the u.s. troops on the ground, have you gotten any response from the president s proposals? well we re doing a lot as you know in nato to get the allies to increase their spending to meet the commitment they themselves made in wales in 2014 to get to 2% of gross national product
without commitment to add troops from france or germany. general jack keane is here, a retired four star general and fox news senior strategic analyst. why aren t some of our allies ponying up, especially the u.k. and germany. they are. let me give you what the state of play is. secretary pompeo directly involved, general dunford directly involved, the british and french are on the ground with us right now and have been for years. they ve unofficially committed to keep forces there, not the same size they have right now. they ve also gone to the countries, and this is very appropriate, that have been attacked by isis, either by name or directed attacks and that is belgium, norway, and germany. the norwegians will probably commit.
