DUNCANVILLE, Texas Duncanville police are warning the community about a scam targeting elderly residents and other vulnerable people within the city, officials said.
In a news release Wednesday, police said officers were made aware of new methods that fraud suspects are using. This includes gifts being delivered to victims homes to make the scam appear more credible, police said.

Duncanville Police Respond To Major Motorcycle Accident With Fatality
On May 7, 2021 at approximately 4:14 PM Duncanville Police Officers were dispatched
to a major accident at the intersection of W. Wheatland Rd. and Santa Fe Tr. involving a
motorcycle. The motorcycle rider was found lying in the roadway suffering from
potential life-threatening injuries.
transporting the patient to Charlton Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced
deceased by hospital staff at approximately 4:56 PM.
The name of the motorcycle rider is not being released at this time pending notification of
next of kin.
