Museveni secretary remanded over intimidating EC to give jobs to her relatives

Buganda Road Chief Magistrate s court has remanded President Yoweri Museveni s private secretary Caroline Kembabazi on charges of giving false information to the Electoral Commission in an attempt to secure jobs for her three relatives in the institution.
Kembabazi, 31, a resident of Kireka in Kiira Division of Wakiso district, on Thursday afternoon appeared before Grade One magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu who read to her the charges.
Prosecution alleges that Kembabazi used her position and lied to the human resource officers at the Electoral Commission that Museveni had directed her to secure jobs for her relatives; Kenneth Magezi, Duncan Muramuzi and Elia Abomeire to be deployed as assistant district registrars whereas not.

President Museveni’s assistant private secretary was Thursday remanded to Luzira Prison after she was charged with giving false information to Electoral Commission human resource officer.
It’s alleged that between November and December 2020, Ms Carolin Kembabazi, 31, while employed as assistant private secretary to the president in charge of poverty alleviation western Uganda, told EC human resource officer that the president assigned her to secure employment for Kenneth Magezi, Duncan Muramuzi and Elia Abomeire as assistant district registrars whereas not.
